A simple process

Getting started is easy.

1

Complete your secure intake

Begin by completing the secure GMTS Client Intake Form with accurate, complete information about your tax situation. Please upload all requested tax documents and supporting records through the form so our team can thoroughly review your submission and determine your tax preparation needs. Providing complete information helps us prepare an accurate free quote and avoid unnecessary processing delays.

2

Receive your free quote

Once your secure intake form and required documents have been received, our team will carefully review the information provided to prepare your FREE, no-obligation tax preparation quote. Your quote will be sent by text message, email, or both, using the contact information you provide. Please review your quote carefully. Receiving a quote does not obligate you to proceed, and GMTS will not begin preparing or file your return without your express approval by text or email.

3

Approve before we begin

Your free tax quote is provided for your review with no obligation to proceed. GMTS will not begin preparing or file your tax return until you expressly approve the quoted fees and authorize us to proceed by text message or email. Once we receive your written confirmation, we’ll provide the next steps for completing your return. Submitting an intake form or requesting a free quote does not constitute approval to prepare or file your return.

Frequently asked questions

Questions? We have answers.

Do I need to visit an office?

No. GMTS is a fully virtual tax preparation business.

Does requesting a quote mean my return is being prepared?

No. Your quote is free, and preparation begins after you approve it.

Where do I upload my tax documents?

Use the secure Cognito intake form linked throughout this website. Follow its instructions for required documents. Open the GMTS intake form.

Have you ever been issued an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) by the IRS?

If the IRS issued you an IP PIN in any previous tax year, please notify Get Moore Tax Services, even if you have not received a new PIN for the current filing season. The IRS issues a new six-digit IP PIN each calendar year. If an IP PIN has been assigned to you, the correct current-year PIN must be included on your federal return to avoid an e-file rejection. For returns filed in 2027, retrieve your new 2027 IP PIN when the IRS makes it available, generally beginning in mid-January. Get or retrieve your IRS IP PIN.

Do I need to provide Form 1095-A if I had Marketplace health insurance for only part of 2026?

Yes. If you or anyone in your tax household was enrolled in health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace (including HealthCare.gov, often called Obamacare) for even one month during 2026, please provide Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement. This applies whether coverage lasted one month or all 12 months. The form is needed to determine whether Premium Tax Credit reconciliation is required. Not providing it can delay preparation or processing of your tax return. Sign in to the Marketplace account for your 2026 application and select Tax Forms to download the PDF. Instructions to find and download Form 1095-A.

What are the business hours for Get Moore Tax Services?

Get Moore Tax Services is available Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We are closed Friday through Sunday. All services are provided virtually. Please plan your inquiries and document submissions accordingly, as our office does not process requests during closed days or observed holidays.

How long does it take to receive my free tax quote?

Our standard turnaround time for a free tax quote is 5–7 business days after we receive the information and documentation required to prepare your quote. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not counted as business days. Incomplete submissions or missing documents may delay your quote. Please allow the full processing timeframe before requesting a status update.

What are HSA contribution and distribution forms, and where can I obtain them?

What is an HSA? A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a special account used to save and pay for eligible medical expenses. It is different from a regular savings account or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

HSA contributions — Form 5498-SA: A contribution is money deposited into your HSA by you, your employer, or another person. Form 5498-SA reports contributions made to your HSA. Your HSA bank or account administrator generally provides this form by May 31 of the following year. Because it may arrive after the tax filing deadline, you do not have to wait for Form 5498-SA to file. Instead, provide your year-end HSA contribution statement or account transaction history showing your contributions, including any contributions made for 2026 through the applicable 2027 tax filing deadline. Employer contributions may also appear on your W-2 in Box 12, Code W.

HSA distributions — Form 1099-SA: A distribution is money taken out of your HSA, including payments made using an HSA debit card. If you withdrew or spent HSA funds during 2026, your HSA administrator generally issues Form 1099-SA by January 31, 2027. Keep records of the qualified medical expenses paid with those funds. Distributions used for nonqualified expenses may be taxable and may be subject to an additional tax.

When are these documents required? If you made HSA contributions or received HSA distributions during 2026, tell Get Moore Tax Services and provide the applicable forms or contribution records. This information may be needed to complete IRS Form 8889 and accurately report your HSA activity, even if the funds were used only for medical expenses.

Where do I find them? Sign in to your HSA provider’s website or mobile app and look under Tax Documents, Statements, or Account Activity. If you cannot locate your records, contact your HSA bank, benefits administrator, or employer. Do not confuse Form 1095-A (Marketplace insurance) with HSA Forms 1099-SA or 5498-SA.

Can I claim childcare expenses on my 2026 tax return, and what information is required?

You may qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit if you paid for eligible childcare so you (and your spouse, if filing jointly) could work or actively look for work. The care generally must be for a qualifying child under age 13 or another qualifying person who is unable to care for themselves. Daycare, eligible babysitting and certain day camp expenses may qualify; regular school tuition, overnight camps and expenses unrelated to qualifying care generally do not.

What must I provide to GMTS? For each childcare provider, provide the provider’s full legal or business name, address, and Social Security number or Employer Identification Number (EIN), as applicable, along with the total amount actually paid for each qualifying person during 2026. Keep receipts, payment records or annual statements to support your expenses. You may request the provider’s information using IRS Form W-10. Form W-10 is used to collect provider details; it is not the form attached to your tax return.

How does the IRS process the credit? If you qualify, GMTS reports eligible expenses and provider information on IRS Form 2441, Child and Dependent Care Expenses, which is filed with your federal tax return. For tax year 2026, up to $3,000 of qualifying expenses for one person or $6,000 for two or more may be considered. The credit is generally 20%–50% of eligible expenses, depending on income and other limitations. This is a nonrefundable tax credit: it may reduce federal income tax owed but does not automatically create or increase a refund when no tax is owed. The IRS may request additional documentation to verify a claim.

Important: Childcare expenses are not the same as the Child Tax Credit or Earned Income Tax Credit. Not all payments qualify, and expenses reimbursed through employer dependent care benefits generally cannot also be used for this credit. Missing provider information or inadequate records may delay preparation or result in the credit being disallowed. Please provide complete, accurate information when submitting your intake. Read the IRS eligibility guidelines.

Does Get Moore Tax Services prepare tax returns for clients in all 50 states?

Yes! Get Moore Tax Services, LLC proudly serves clients in all 50 U.S. states through our fully virtual tax preparation services. You do not need to live in Texas or visit a physical office to work with us. Our secure online intake process allows clients nationwide to request a free tax quote, submit required documents, and communicate with our team remotely. State filing requirements vary, and we will review your individual tax situation to determine which returns may be required.

How does the $100 GMTS referral bonus work, and when are referral payments issued?

We sincerely appreciate our clients who recommend Get Moore Tax Services to family and friends! As a thank-you, GMTS offers a $100 referral bonus for each qualifying NEW client who files a tax return with us.

Referral requirements: To qualify as a referrer, you must also have completed and filed your own tax return with GMTS. The new client must enter your full name in the referral section of their GMTS intake form when submitting it. To qualify for payment, the referred client must complete their tax filing with GMTS, receive their tax refund, and pay all applicable tax preparation and service fees in full. All referrals are subject to verification against GMTS records.

When are bonuses paid? To keep our focus on preparing and processing tax returns without interruptions during our busiest season, all qualifying referral bonuses are paid after tax season, during April 19–23, 2027—not individually throughout the filing season.

How to claim your referrals: Please text your complete referral list to GMTS between April 19 and April 23, 2027. April 23 is the final submission deadline; lists received after that date are not eligible for payment. Verified bonuses are paid by Cash App or Apple Pay only during the designated payout period.

Thank you for supporting our small business and for allowing our team to stay focused on providing timely, attentive tax preparation services to every client. We truly value your referrals!
